Robert T. Kenney’s legacy in real estate development is legendary. After launching his career in the private sector for a few years, he became Director of Boston’s Public Facilities Department in 1968. Three years later, Boston Mayor Kevin White nominated Kenney for Boston Redevelopment Authority Director, a position he held for nearly six years.
Under his leadership of the BRA, Kenney played a major role in transforming the downtown Boston landscape with the redevelopment of Faneuil Hall Marketplace. This not only rejuvenated the downtown Boston area, but served as a leading example for other urban retail centers in the United States.
In 1977, Bob founded Kenney Development Company, Inc. which became one of the foremost consulting and real estate firms in New England. Today, under the direction of Robert’s son, Bob, KDC has clients and developments in more than 25 states throughout the eastern United States. The company is recognized for the comprehensive services it provides to property owners and managers, including consulting, financial placement, historical restoration and project coordination.
Bob earned college degrees from both Boston College and Harvard Business School. He served in the U.S. Navy as a supply officer stationed on a destroyer.
Robert E. Kenney, president and CEO of Kenney Development Company (KDC), joined the family company in 1984 after studying urban and regional planning at the University of Denver before earning his B.S. Degree in Community Planning and Development from the University of New Hampshire.
Son of KDC founder Robert T. Kenney, Bob shares his father’s vision and passion for excellence. He oversees daily operations of KDC and is responsible for the overall guidance of the company’s numerous high profile real estate development and historic restoration projects. Bob is also President of KDC’s subsidiary company, Fulton Properties which manages properties throughout greater Boston.

For almost three decades, Dan Luter has been involved in real estate management and construction. As Vice President at both Kenney Development and Fulton Properties, a subsidiary of KDC, Dan is responsible for managing investment real estate and managing construction projects, whether new construction, adaptive re-use or renovation of commercial and multifamily properties.
Working closely with investors, owners, property managers and construction managers on projects ranging form $1,000,000 to $50,000,000, Dan’s expertise and attention to detail have ensured KDC clients that their projects will be completed on time and within budget.
In addition, Dan’s comprehensive knowledge of marketing, selling or leasing commercial and residential properties provides an added dimension to the role he has played at KDC since joining the company in 2006.
Dan earned his MBA from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire after earning a BS in Organizational Management from Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH.
He holds Real Estate Broker licenses in NH and MA and received his Construction Supervisor’s License from the MA Department of Public Safety.
Dan continues to serve in the NH Air National Guard as a crew member on the KC-46A Pegasus air refueling tanker. Chief Master Sergeant Luter is an Inflight Refueling Specialist with more than 4,000 flying hours and over 1,000 of those being designated as combat hours. He is rated as an Instructor and Evaluator for his crew position. Kenney Development has thoroughly supported Dan’s service through many deployments and continual training and was recognized in 2013 with the Pro Patria Award for outstanding employer support of the National Guard and Reserve.
Dan lives with his wife, Louise in Westport, MA and has two grown children and two grandsons.

Nanette L. Marchant has been involved in operational and financial management for more than 25 years. She joined Kenney Development Company (KDC) in 1999 and is Vice President of both KDC and its subsidiary company, Fulton Properties LLC. Nanette is responsible for managing the financial risk of the Company and ensuring the efficiency of business operations.
In her multifaceted role, she is dedicated to providing clients with sound and transparent oversight of property management accounting, cash management and financial reporting. In addition, Nanette manages all aspects of human resources for the company.
Nanette served the Malden YWCA as a Trustee in 2010 and Board of Director Secretary from 2011 – 2013. Nanette lives in Malden with her husband, Chris, and their three sons.
